WMS Architects were asked by Zondevco developers to design an apartment block complex on this site, which is within walking distance of the Centurion Gautrain station and less than 3km from Centurion Mall. It consists of three blocks of five storeys each with parking on the ground floor.
To optimize the layout on the site, each block was designed with north and south facing apartments and a central covered corridor. Roof lights allow natural light into the corridors. Each block layout differs and consists of combinations of 1, 2 and 3 bedroom apartments. Mild steel section screens protect the corridor and staircases from northern and western sun, while all windows have low-e double glazing. A combination of face brick and plaster and paint were used in the design, to minimize maintenance.
